How each figure is taken

Chest: Across the chest 2.5 cm below the armhole, doubled.
Body length: From the high point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
Sleeve: From the shoulder seam to the cuff edge.
Shoulder: Seam to seam across the back.

Measured flat, finished garment. Tolerance ±1 cm (±0.4 in). Cut straight through the body. Sized on the mens block; size down one for a closer fit.

What this piece does not do

Wrinkle grade 3 of 5. Cotton-modal creases; it hangs out in about two hours.

The thinking

A document pouch on a string is uncomfortable and obvious. A pocket sewn into the side seam of a tee is neither.

The pocket is 15 × 11 cm, opens along the seam and sits over the ribs where a passport lies flat rather than folding.

We line it in a smooth taffeta so the zip does not sit against skin.
