Cabin Knit Crew

The knit you can sleep against

How each figure is taken

  • Chest: Across the chest 2.5 cm below the armhole, doubled.
  • Body length: From the high point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
  • Sleeve: From the shoulder seam to the cuff edge.
  • Shoulder: Seam to seam across the back.

Measured flat, finished garment. Tolerance ±1 cm (±0.4 in). Cut straight through the body. Sized on the mens block; size down one for a closer fit.

What this piece does not do

  • Wool needs air, not heat. Do not tumble dry.
  • Wrinkle grade 4 of 5 means light creasing at the elbows after a folded night; it hangs out in about an hour.
  • We make no antimicrobial, odour-control or medical claim for this garment, and we do not describe it as waterproof.

Every figure on this page is measured under the conditions set out on our performance testing page.

The thinking

Most sweaters ride up the moment you slump. This one is cut 4 cm longer in the back than the front, so the hem stays under the belt line through a full flight.

The yarn is 18.5 micron merino, knitted at a gauge fine enough to sit under a shirt but dense enough to wear alone. It resists pilling at the seatbelt line, which is the first place a cheap knit gives out.

Folded in thirds it becomes a passable headrest. That is not a feature we engineered; it is just what a 240 g merino crew does.

Details

  • Drop-tail hem, 4 cm longer at the back
  • 18.5 micron merino, fine gauge
  • Flatlock shoulder seams that do not press under a backpack strap
  • Ribbed collar that recovers after being bunched

Customer reviews

No reviews for Cabin Knit Crew yet. We publish reviews only from verified purchasers of the exact piece, so this stays empty until someone who bought it writes one.

How we handle reviews

  • Only customers who bought the piece from us can leave a review.
  • We publish negative and positive reviews alike. We do not remove a review for being critical, and we do not ask people to contact us before reviewing.
  • If anything of value was given in exchange for a review — a free item, a discount, a payment — it is disclosed on that review.
  • We do not buy, sell or generate reviews, and we do not republish reviews written for a different product.
