How each figure is taken

  • Chest: Across the chest 2.5 cm below the armhole, doubled.
  • Body length: From the high point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
  • Sleeve: From the shoulder seam to the cuff edge.
  • Shoulder: Seam to seam across the back.

Measured flat, finished garment. Tolerance ±1 cm (±0.4 in). Cut straight through the body. Sized on the mens block; size down one for a closer fit.

What this piece does not do

  • Rolled hood support is a by-product of the cut, not a certified neck-support device.
  • Cotton content means it holds moisture longer than the synthetic pieces in this line.

The thinking

A hood that fits over a head has enough fabric to fill the gap between a shoulder and a headrest. We cut this one 20% larger than standard and lined it, so pushed down it stacks into a soft roll behind the neck.

The body is a brushed-back poly-cotton at 220 gsm — warm enough for a cold cabin, light enough that it is not dead weight in a bag.

No drawcord. Cords tangle in a packed bag and catch on seat mechanisms.
